Description: This module will focus on the practical skills and industry knowledge required to take an interest in media production to a professional level. Students will be taught specific strategies for a range of essential professional practices in journalism, TV and other media, such as organizing a start-up, pitching stories, sourcing talent and expertise, and project management, and they will learn the finer points of building a portfolio through effective storytelling to create professional-quality media content. The module is open to students with basic or advanced media production skills: emphasis will be placed on how to enhance, leverage and package these skills for professional success.
